Kinect used to control mouse movements + clicks

Liam Nichols just released the source code of a very promising application. It's based on the MIDI software we covered earlier, and allows Windows users to control their mouse movements and fire single mouse clicks. See the video below for a demo:

Liam writes:

This is a little demo of some VERY MESSY project I made using CL NUI SDK making a wall (or in my case a mirror with paper stuck on it) a single click Windows mouse :D

It is done by retrieving Kinects depth data, then converting it to a coordinate (in a very messy way) - this has been built upon Ben X Tan's MIDI controller source.

Using a reserved space in the Top Left of the projection - if I tap there it will send a left click signal, I dont have a projector to hand so could not lay a projection image of my screen over the area I use for Kinect, but it can be easily used to make an interactive projector.

Anyway here is my version of the source: http://essexconsolerepairs.co.uk/programs/openkinect/KinectTouchSource.rar

We're looking forward to more advanced versions of this application!
